Quit: Students' Power, The Tobacco Industry's Biggest Fear.

Research in the United States shows that when tobacco companies' marketing strategies, which specifically target young people, are exposed, teenagers get angry and resist. When they realize they are being manipulated and are the target audience for these companies, they are more likely to refuse to smoke.

George Bernard Shaw, the Irish playwright and political critic who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1925, famously critiqued cigarettes with this quote:

"A cigarette is a pinch of tobacco rolled in paper with fire at one end and a fool at the other."

Shaw passed away in 1950, which makes you wonder what he would have said about e-cigarettes. After all, e-cigarettes are essentially just cigarettes in disguise, but even more addictive.

The tobacco business is the most profitable legal industry in the world. It is also the only legal business that, when its products are used as recommended by the manufacturer, kills its consumers.
