Global Center for Good Governance in Tobacco Control (GGTC)
Prof. Dr. Prakit Vathesatogkit, Chair of the Action on Smoking and Health Foundation, joined the executive team of the Global Center for Good Governance in Tobacco Control (GGTC)—including Ms. Bungon Ritthiphakdee, Dr. Mary Assunta, and Deborah Sy —to provide expert feedback on AI-generated media created to drive tobacco control policies. These creative works were developed by youth leaders from 15 countries across 4 continents, including Asia (Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka), Europe (Sweden, UK, Spain, Slovenia), Africa (Kenya, Zambia), and the Americas (USA, Mexico, Colombia).
This initiative was part of the AI Boot Camp to Enhance Youth Voices for Stronger Tobacco Control Policy, organized by the GGTC, the convener of Global Youth Voices (GYV).
Thailand was represented by four youth delegates:
- Ms. Panchika Lortharaprasert, a 5th-year medical student at the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, and a leader of the New Gen Medical Students for Nicotine-Free Society.
- Ms. Tathi Sucharitkul, a medical student at the Princess Srisavangavadhana College of Medicine, Chulabhorn Royal Academy.
- Ms. Yosawadee Dissara, from the New Gen Communicators Network.
- Ms. Urapee Julimasart, from the Action on Smoking and Health Foundation.
The event took place from April 16–18, 2026, at the Century Park Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.
